Transformation into a Grade I hospital

In particular, in the 10 typical events of Vinh Long province in 2024, there is the event of successfully receiving and transferring 6 specialized techniques at Vinh Long General Hospital, including: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP); Mini-PCNL; Laparoscopic thyroid surgery; Laparoscopic liver resection and open surgery; Laparoscopic hysterectomy for submucosal fibroids. The establishment of the 115 Emergency Center at Vinh Long General Hospital helps improve the capacity for emergency care and transport of patients, making a positive contribution to public health care in the province and neighboring areas. Implementing the Party and State's policy on digital transformation in the health sector, the hospital has focused on solutions to apply information technology and digital transformation to contribute to improving the efficiency and quality of health care.
In particular, since the beginning of 2025, the hospital has put into operation an application for making appointments by phone, an information page on Zalo OA Vinh Long General Hospital, in addition to the hospital information system (HIS), cashless payment for medical services... previously deployed. These platforms help people easily access medical services, save time and improve the experience of medical examination and treatment, modernize patient information management and move towards a smart medical model in the 4.0 era.
