Investing 289.4 billion VND to provide electricity to 5,774 households in hamlets of 7 districts

Currently, the province is investing 289.4 billion VND to implement projects to provide electricity to 5,774 households in villages without electricity in the districts of Bao Lam, Bao Lac, Nguyen Binh, Hoa An, Ha Quang, Ha Lang, Quang Hoa, and Thach An.

City Electricity Company energizes and supplies electricity to Nam Dang village, Quang Trong commune (Thach An).

Of which, the Central Budget capital is 180 billion VND; the Central Budget capital allocated for the National Target Program (NTP) for socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and the National Target Program for sustainable poverty reduction is 109,377 billion VND.

Up to now, the whole province still has 7,600 households that have not used the national power grid, accounting for 5.83% including households using mini hydropower, generators, self-pulled households..., in remote areas, border areas, and areas of special difficulty.

To achieve the goal of 100% of households in the province using the national grid by 2025, in the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee directs all levels, departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities to focus on integrating the 3 national target programs and other programs in the province to invest in the construction of power supply projects. Attract and effectively use all resources to invest in the power grid, at the same time, take advantage of foreign capital, preferential loans and non-refundable aid to invest in the power grid and other power sources outside the national grid to serve the daily life and production of people in the province.

Propose and recommend to the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to consider balancing the arrangement of loan capital to implement the rural and mountainous electricity supply program and island power supply program in the period of 2021 - 2025 for rural areas, remote hamlets, highland areas, border areas, and ethnic minority areas of Cao Bang province in the period of 2020 - 2025...
