According to the resolution, the National Highway 37 bypass project is approximately 5,514 km long. Of which, the section in Gia Loc district is 3,877 km long; the section in Hai Duong city is approximately 1,637 km long.
The starting point of the project connects to National Highway 37 (km45+633) at Thong Nhat Bridge. The end point connects to Ring Road I, Hai Duong City. The route is built according to the scale of a regional street, with a design speed of 50km/h.
The main road of the area is divided into 2 sections, section 1 (Gia Loc town bypass) has a roadbed width of 18 m, a route length of 3.168 km. The intersection with provincial road 395 has a roadbed width of 28 m, a route length of 0.150 km. The branch connecting to the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway and the section from Thong Nhat bridge to the intersection with branch 1 is invested in 1/2 phase with a road surface width of 11 m, a roadbed width of 12 m, and a route length of 1.009 km.
Section 2 (connecting section 1 with Hai Duong City Ring Road 1) has a 31m wide roadbed and a length of 1.187km. Synchronously construct intersections, drainage, trees, lighting, signaling systems, other infrastructure, and organize traffic safety in accordance with the investment scale.
The project is invested by the Hai Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board. The total investment of the project is more than 682 billion VND. The project implementation period is 2024-2025.
After construction, the Gia Loc town bypass will reduce the load on National Highway 37 through Gia Loc town and at the same time form a connecting route from the center of Gia Loc district to Hai Duong city's beltway I and provincial roads in the area (provincial road 393; provincial road 395; Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway service road...) to gradually complete the regional traffic infrastructure of Gia Loc district and Hai Duong city, creating a driving force for local socio -economic development.
