Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is manufactured on TSMC's 4nm process, using a 1+3+4 CPU structure (one Kryo main core clocked at 2.63GHz + 3 high-performance cores running at 2.4GHz + 4 energy-saving cores clocked at 1.8GHz).
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 has just been announced.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 has 15% faster CPU, 50% more powerful GPU than 7 Gen 1, and is also 20% more power efficient.
Performance on the chipset has been upgraded.
In addition, the AI Engine also delivers 60% better AI performance per watt, with new INT4 support for the 7-series. The SoC is equipped with improved AI-based facial recognition, especially when users use it in complex lighting conditions such as backlighting and low light.
It brings spatial audio with head tracking, a seamless Snapdragon experience across multiple devices, and support for 4K resolution displays at 60Hz or FHD+ resolution at 168Hz. The chipset’s Qualcomm Spectra ISP can handle up to 200MP primary camera modules and 4K HDR video recording at 60Hz.
The device supports 4K resolution displays at 60Hz refresh rate or FHD+ resolution at 168Hz.
Additionally, the processor comes with the Snapdragon X63 5G Modem-RF system, which ensures download speeds of up to 5 Gbps on mmWave and sub-6 GHz bands. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 standards.
The first devices carrying the chip are expected to ship later this month.
