Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command chaired the conference. Also attending were members of the Party Standing Committee, Heads of the Region Command; representatives of the commanding agencies and units, and all officers and employees of the Phu Quoc area.
Major General Nguyen Van Dung emphasized that the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 continues to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement Directive 212 and Directive 652 with higher political determination, making the movement a voluntary and regular lifestyle of each officer and soldier. The Command of Coast Guard Region 4 is more active and proactive in grasping, managing and resolving the ideological situation of soldiers, making each soldier truly love, attach to and devote himself to the development and growth of the unit; contributing to maintaining national security, order and safety at sea, and strengthening the people's trust in the Vietnam Coast Guard.
After 5 years of implementation, the movement "Four Goods, Four Nos, Four Against" (good thoughts, good ethics, good manners, good lifestyle; no violations of the law, no violations of discipline, no negativity, no degradation; anti-corruption, anti-waste, anti-bureaucracy, anti-degradation) has created positive and widespread changes in the entire unit, becoming the ethical standards and actions of officers and soldiers of Coast Guard 4. The synchronous implementation of the criteria has helped soldiers to be steadfast in their stance, feel secure in their work, proactive in studying and training; forming an honest and simple lifestyle; contributing to the early prevention of signs of degradation, negativity, and violations of the law and discipline.
The effective implementation of Directive 212 in the Party Committee and the entire Regional Command has significantly contributed to building a contingent of cadres and soldiers with strong political will, not afraid of sacrifice and hardship, proactive, creative, dedicated and responsible in performing their tasks. Political cadres have good professional qualifications, meeting the requirements of building a "revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern" Regional Command, with internal unity and solidarity between the army and the people being increasingly consolidated.
Regarding Directive 652, the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 4 has been proactive, active and creative in leading, directing and organizing implementation. Management, grasping and orienting of ideology are carried out regularly in many diverse forms, suitable to the characteristics of the tasks and the ideological situation of soldiers at each time. Activities such as political study, thematic activities, seminars, exchanges, internal radio broadcasts, fanpage "Coast Guard Region 4 Command News Page", "Light of Truth", and many information channels of agencies and units have contributed to orienting public opinion in a timely and effective manner.
The unit regularly organizes cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges, closely combining "building" and "fighting"; taking "building" as the main thing, resolutely fighting against manifestations of deviant and incorrect ideology, preventing political, moral, and lifestyle degradation, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation". In particular, the regime of democratic dialogue, political, cultural and spiritual days, and Law Days are strictly maintained. Thereby, Party committees and commanders at all levels grasp the thoughts and aspirations of soldiers, promptly resolving arising problems. Thanks to that, the ideological situation in the whole Region is basically stable, officers and soldiers are always assured in their work, and attached to the unit.
Five years of implementing Directive 212 and three years of implementing Directive 652 have affirmed that the movement "Four goods, four no's, four against" has become an important foundation in building a strong, disciplined and courageous force, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Coast Guard.
On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 awarded 2 collectives and 9 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive 212; 1 collective and 5 individuals were commended for implementing Directive 652; proposed to award the Vietnam Coast Guard Certificate of Merit to 2 collectives and 1 individual.
