Speed up progress and soon complete the Lam Dong Radio and Television Station Construction Project

The Lam Dong Radio and Television Station construction project has a total investment of nearly 200 billion VND. According to the Provincial Project Management Board, as of August 12, the project has disbursed more than 128 billion VND, reaching 71% of the total allocated capital of 179.9 billion VND.

Comrade Le Huy Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television reported to Comrade Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee on the project's progress.

The representative of the project construction unit said that currently, the construction progress is still slow. The reason is that the project has a large construction volume, many items require complex technical requirements, and require synchronous coordination between many suppliers and specialized units such as: Electricity, antenna system, wastewater treatment...

The actual construction time was affected by the adverse weather caused by Typhoon Wipha. In particular, heavy rain made the construction of outdoor items, roof treatment, antennas, and technical infrastructure difficult. The number of workers arranged by the contractor at the construction site was not enough to meet the planned construction volume.

On the other hand, regarding the excess excavated soil volume during construction, there is currently about 19,181m³ that has not been transported and is being temporarily gathered outside the construction site to serve the construction of outdoor infrastructure; there is currently no gathering location because Cam Ly Landfill has stopped receiving it since the beginning of 2025.

At the meeting, the construction unit also proposed an extension until December 2025, the unit will complete the disbursement according to the contract value.

In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the project is currently behind schedule. Therefore, he requested that the units urgently coordinate with the construction contractor and supervision consultant to complete the technical drawings and arising volumes, serving the acceptance and payment work. Strictly carry out the supervision responsibility in accordance with the contract signed with the investor and current regulations, not allowing the situation of laxity of responsibility as in the recent past.

The contractor must increase manpower and construction equipment at the site to speed up progress and focus on completing all remaining work of the contract within the committed time.
