Bodo/Glimt have become the first Norwegian side to reach the semi-finals of a major European tournament, and if they beat Tottenham they will make even more history, and dream of a first ever continental title for Norwegian and Scandinavian football.

The 1-3 defeat in the first leg at Tottenham Spurs did not faze Bodo/Glimt. They believe that the Aspmyra Stadion will be a very different performance, because on this artificial pitch, coach Kjetil Knutsen and his team have defeated FC Twente (5-2), Olympiacos (3-0), Lazio (2-0) as well as Besiktas (2-1).

In order not to miss the historic match, the hunt for tickets has been going on for days. However, because the capacity of Aspmyra Stadium is too small, just over 8,000 seats, the number of tickets distributed is very limited. Only 480 tickets are available while there are up to 50,000 requests to buy tickets, more than the total population of the town of Bodo.

Nils Erik Oskal, a Bodo resident, used 5kg of reindeer meat worth 85 euros to exchange for a ticket worth 45 euros. "The loss is no longer important, when I am about to have an experience that no money can buy," Oskal said.

Torbjorn Eide, production manager at a fish farm in Torsken, an eight-hour drive from Bodo, spent even more. Unable to be one of the lucky 480 to get a ticket, he posted online that he would trade 5kg of sun-dried cod for a ticket.

Sun-dried cod is a Norwegian delicacy, and 5kg was worth 214 euros, almost five times the value of the ticket. Soon, the deal was done. A man named Oystein Aanes exchanged his brother's ticket for 5kg of cod. "It was a funny deal," Aanes said. "I didn't even know what this fish was, how much it cost, or how to prepare it. But it would be a great gift for my mother."
