Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction ) requesting to adjust the design of the CT.02 intersection (the final intersection at Km117+593) of Component Project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway, Phase 1.

Contractors are implementing the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project. |
According to the original design, the CT.02 intersection was defined in the form of a complete asterisk, but only met the connection between the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway and the Ho Chi Minh road, the eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot city.
However, Dak Lak province is currently implementing the East-West Road Connection Project (Vo Nguyen Giap Road). Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee proposed to adjust the design of the CT.02 intersection by adding 3 connecting branches, ensuring the connection between the expressway, the Ho Chi Minh Road, the Eastern bypass, and the East-West Road.
According to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, this adjustment is expected to cost about 172 billion VND more than the approved design. This additional cost will be balanced in the total investment, using the project's reserve fund.
Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that the additional design scope does not incur site clearance costs, because this work has been completed in the final stages.
