Teacher Nguyen Cao Cuong noted some things candidates need to remember before and during the exam. |
Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong, Principal of Thai Thinh Secondary School ( Hanoi ) emphasized that students need to have a daily routine that fits the exam time, at least 1 week before the exam.
For example, in the morning you should wake up early, have breakfast, review subjects between 7:30 and 11:30, have lunch, take a nap and in the afternoon continue reviewing between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., and in the evening you should not stay up too late.
Students should not participate in sports activities that can easily cause injury, and need to eat healthy. During these days, students should not learn new content, but should review all the topics that teachers have reviewed, re-read textbooks for basic knowledge, solutions to exercises, and topics that teachers have reviewed.
On the other hand, if there are any problems, students should immediately ask their teachers for answers. During the review process, they can do some exercises and time themselves to balance the time appropriately.

Mr. Tran Manh Tung, a Math teacher in Hanoi, said that students at this time need to make a review plan for each day and each week.
Exam preparation must have a very specific plan for each week and each day to be effective. If the exam date is close, students will be more panicked, leading to ineffective preparation, loss of spirit and anxiety.
Once you have made a plan, you need to seriously implement it, even if you have to sacrifice some hobbies. A day at this stage can be more valuable than a day before, so you need to cherish and value every second, every minute, and avoid the situation of breaking up at the end of the school year.
Arrange the study schedule by month, the topics should be finished in May and in June students should review, solve problems, and deal with weak points.
Besides, it is also necessary to plan time for rest, exercise and entertainment to help the brain recover.
Teacher Tung noted that students should avoid studying too late at night or studying too much knowledge in one day, which will be difficult to absorb. Not only that, students should also avoid studying like "torture", which is harmful to health and quick to forget.
Research has shown that the time between 4 and 6 am is suitable for short-term memory. Therefore, instead of staying up late and waking up late, you should go to bed early and wake up early. In addition, you need to combine studying with rest and relaxation.
Normally, every 45 minutes of studying, you should stop to take a break, maybe walk around, stretch, take a deep breath or listen to a favorite song.
Another important thing is to pay attention to a complete and quality diet. Get enough sleep (about 6-7 hours a day) and have a habit of taking a nap (about 30 minutes) is even better.
Besides, students also practice maintaining a stable mentality, optimistic spirit, comfort and positive thinking.
