Proposal to overcome the local surplus and shortage of teachers

On August 20, Ms. Le Thi Huong, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri, said that the locality currently has a total of 13,441 managers, teachers, employees, and contract workers.

Of these, 4,280 are in preschool, 4,047 are in primary school, 3,331 are in secondary school and 1,783 are in high school. As of August 14, Quang Tri province has 179,068 students. The rate of mobilizing school-age children and students has remained stable and is on the rise.

According to Ms. Huong, the local education sector is currently short of 351 teachers, staff and managers.

"To overcome the situation of having too many teachers in some places and not enough teachers in others, in the 2023-2024 school year, the locality recruited 174 officials; accepted 67 officials; arranged for 75 officials to be transferred to other districts; transferred 151 officials within the district, town, and city; and rotated and arranged for 147 officials to teach in inter-schools," said Ms. Huong.

To create the best conditions for the new school year 2024-2025, the leaders of Quang Tri province requested the education sector of this province to review and synthesize the staffing situation of the entire sector; proactively arrange and organize the teaching staff reasonably and scientifically ; coordinate synchronously between sectors and localities to rotate teachers, overcoming the situation of local surplus and shortage.
