(Dan Tri) - The 2025 V-SAT exam will have an additional literature subject with a requirement to complete the test on a computer.
The National Center for Testing and Education Quality Assessment ( Ministry of Education and Training ) has just announced the sample test for the V-SAT exam in 2025. This is one of the exams used by nearly 20 universities in admissions.
The new exam format is adjusted according to the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, focusing on assessing students' abilities and is highly classified.
Accordingly, this year's exam adds literature, bringing the total number of independent subjects to 8 including: math, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, English, literature (See the V-SAT 2025 sample test here).
Math and Literature are two exams with a time limit of 90 minutes. Notably, in addition to multiple choice questions, the exam requires candidates to write a 200-word paragraph in the social argumentative genre. The exam format is on the computer like all other subjects.
This leads to difficulties for candidates who are not proficient in typing skills.

The remaining exams are all 60-minute objective tests, with test formats similar to the high school graduation exam.
The 4 test formats in the V-SAT include true/false, 4-choice objective, matching, and short answer.
The true/false test format consists of 4 sub-items for each question. Each correct answer is worth 1 point. However, if the candidate answers 4/4 sub-items correctly, he/she will be awarded 6 points.
The remaining multiple choice formats also have a maximum score of 6 points for each correct answer.
The number of questions in the test remains the same at 25 (except for Literature). However, the increased number of sub-sections and more detailed scoring are significant differences that candidates should note in this year's SAT.
For the literature essay alone, the maximum score is 30/150 points.
150 points is also the maximum score for each independent test.

The difference between the V-SAT and other aptitude tests is that candidates do not have to take all subjects. Candidates can choose a minimum of 1/8 subjects and a maximum of 8/8, depending on their admission wishes.
Exam fees are calculated per subject and vary slightly between participating universities.
The first V-SAT exam will take place in 2023, organized by 4 universities in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the National Center for Testing and Education Quality Assessment.

In 2024, a number of more northern universities will participate in organizing the SAT exam, including Banking Academy, University of Construction, Thai Nguyen University and Hung Yen University of Technical Education.
By 2025, it is expected that 18 universities will organize and use the V-SAT exam in admissions with a target of 10-40% of total enrollment targets.
This year's SAT test fees have not been announced.
Like two years ago, Thai Nguyen University, Banking Academy, Can Tho University collect 120,000 VND/exam subject. Saigon University, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City collect 115,000 VND/exam subject.
The V-SAT exam fee for candidates taking 3 subjects is currently the cheapest among early university admission certificates.
