Following the directions of the Provincial People's Committee in implementing the Month of Action for Children and activities to manage andeducate children and adolescents in the summer of 2025, the Provincial Youth Union continues to innovate and diversify summer activities for children, meeting their needs for healthy entertainment and recreation.

With the theme "Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children", the Youth Union at all levels also continues to organize summer activities for children focusing on the following contents: Promoting children's right to participate; activities to protect and care for children and recreational activities, life skills education for children. At the same time, focus on organizing experiential programs, summer camps, skills education programs for children such as: Military semester; organizing activities to equip children with safety skills, self-protection; safety skills on the internet for children, preventing accidents and injuries to children... Instructing children to know and strictly implement the provisions of the law on traffic safety; denouncing acts of child abuse, violence, and exploitation of child labor. In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also connects local youth and student volunteer teams to support children in reviewing lessons, studying, organizing skills training activities, and playgrounds with high educational value...

Create a safe, healthy environment for children

In addition to building a healthy and beneficial playing environment, the Youth Union at all levels also pays special attention to ensuring the safety of children during the summer. Accordingly, the time to organize summer activities is from May 31 to August 31, with the goal of promoting the role of Youth Union bases, Youth Union officials, members and youth in organizing volunteer activities associated with organizing summer activities for children in residential areas.

Swimming classes for children are held at the Provincial Youth Cultural Palace.

The Provincial Youth Union has directed all levels of the Youth Union and Teams to propagate on the loudspeaker systems of communes, wards and towns, integrating propaganda into Team activities to equip children with necessary life skills, especially skills to prevent drowning accidents, prevent abuse and injuries.

From there, the role of the Quang Ninh Youth Cultural Palace system and the local Youth Activity Center will be promoted in supporting local youth union organizations to organize summer activities for children. Each commune and ward strives to organize at least 2-3 free swimming classes for children during the summer.

Union cadres at the grassroots level also regularly contact and encourage children to actively participate in summer activities with friends, not to be tempted into social evils, dangerous games, violent games...; at the same time, encourage parents not to put too much academic pressure on children with a dense schedule of extra classes and tutoring right from the beginning of summer, because after a stressful school year, children really need a period of time to rest, relax, and regain balance.

Along with that, continue to mobilize socialization, build activity spots, playgrounds for children such as: "Space for reading, interaction, Team activities", "Red Scarf" house; invest in building, upgrading schools, classrooms, boarding houses... Coordinate with relevant sectors, pay attention to support, equip facilities, mobilize social resources to build artificial swimming pools, mini swimming pools, smart swimming pools to teach children to swim. Mobilize organizations and individuals to donate gifts, school supplies, means of transportation to school, scholarships to help children have conditions to study and live in preparation for the new school year.

Identifying that caring for and educating children is a core and regular task of the Youth Union and Young Pioneers; Youth Union and Young Pioneers at all levels have actively and effectively implemented the campaign "For beloved juniors", the peak day "Volunteer soldiers support children in difficult circumstances", the festival "Happy and healthy children"; the model of the Provincial Children's Council...

Since the beginning of the year, the entire Union has mobilized over 2.7 billion VND to carry out activities to help and care for nearly 11,000 disadvantaged children in the province; deployed 77 training and propaganda classes on drowning prevention, injury prevention, and abuse prevention for 13,881 children; built and repaired 12 activity points and playgrounds for children worth 500 million VND; organized 14 health examination and consultation programs for over 1,500 children in the province.

With meaningful and practical care and education activities, the Youth Union at all levels has brought children across the province a useful and interesting summer vacation, helping them accumulate and learn more knowledge and skills to be more proactive and confident in life.
