The 10th grade Literature exam requires commenting on the poem 'Gecko throws tongue into the night'

Specifically, the Literature exam for grade 10 of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU in 2025 with a test time of 120 minutes is as follows:

Student Nguyen Thi Quynh Anh (a student at Ngo Si Lien Secondary School, Hoan Kiem District) commented that the exam was not too difficult, as expected by students, because the test materials were related to the context of this year's 50th anniversary of national reunification.
"The exam had a question 'commenting on the poem 'Gecko holding tongue at night' which was quite new", the female student shared. Quynh Anh completed the entire test and expected to get about 8 points.

Nguyen Ngan Khanh (also a student at Ngo Si Lien Secondary School) said that the exam had a rather strange question asking about the unique structure of the poem "Diary" by author Hoang Nhuan Cam. The female student also did quite well on the exam and is expected to score 7 or higher.

The leaders of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities said that this year, 2,037 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to the school. The competition ratio for the Literature major is about 1/17; the History major is 1/14 and the Geography major is 1/13.

According to the plan, the school will organize the entrance exam on May 24 and 25.

Candidates will take general exams including Literature (essay, 120 minutes), Math (multiple choice, 90 minutes), English (multiple choice, 60 minutes); before taking exams in specialized subjects: Literature, History, Geography (essay, 150 minutes).

This afternoon, May 24, candidates will take the general Math and English exams. On the morning of May 25, candidates will take the specialized subjects exam within 150 minutes.

In 2025, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities will recruit 70 students majoring in Literature; 35 students majoring in History and 35 students majoring in Geography.

Candidates eligible for admission must be candidates who have taken all 3 general exams (Literature, Math, English) and the specialized exam (Literature, History, Geography), and must not be suspended from taking the exam.

In which, the score of each general exam subject (Literature, Math, English) must be from 4 or higher, the score of the specialized exam subject (Literature, History, Geography) must be from 6 or higher.

The admission score is the total score of the general Literature exam multiplied by coefficient 1 and the specialized subject (Literature, History, Geography) multiplied by coefficient 2.

The school considers admission scores from high to low until the quota is filled for each specialized class; priority points and incentive points are not added in admission.

Exam results will be announced before June 20 on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
