This afternoon, October 18, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam chaired a meeting with investors on the proposal for the investment project of the Resort and care for the elderly of MICVIET Management and Communication Joint Stock Company; the investment project of Con Co Resort on Con Co Island of Con Co Tourism Investment Joint Stock Company.

Reporting on the Con Co Resort Investment Project on Con Co Island, a representative of Con Co Tourism Investment Joint Stock Company said that the unit proposed to build a tourist area in the East and Southeast areas at the easternmost tip of Con Co island district with an area of 6.4 hectares, implementing the project within 5 years.
Accordingly, phase 1 (2025 - 2027) will plan the overall site, invest in infrastructure for the tourist area, and put tourist villas and bungalows into operation. Phase 2027 - 2029 will invest in resort hotels, entertainment facilities and island experiences.
Regarding the Elderly Care and Resort Project, MICVIET Management and Communication Joint Stock Company proposed to select the location of An Trung ecological lagoon, Cua Viet town, Gio Linh district for implementation.
Accordingly, the project will provide all services for convalescence, long-term elderly care, home elderly care, daytime elderly care, short-term elderly care, patient care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, nursing training, elderly exchange...
After listening to the comments of relevant sectors, units and localities, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam said that for the Con Co Resort project, investors should study in the direction of choosing the unique features of the island district, choosing a few high-end services to invest in a focused and key area, avoiding spreading out. Closely follow the relevant planning on investment in construction of works on the island district to propose suitable projects.
Regarding the Elderly Care and Resort Project, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam assessed that this is a good idea, in line with modern trends, and is a type of investment that the province is very interested in finding investors to build a model.
At the same time, he said that traveling between cities to Quang Tri is not a big problem. If the project is implemented, it will attract the attention and need for relaxation of the elderly in provinces and cities across the country.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed in principle to let the company continue to research, and requested to receive opinions from various sectors to complete the research report. In particular, investors should pay attention to the quality of the living environment, technology, healthcare staff, and facilities serving the elderly so that the project can meet the needs and desires of the elderly.
Assign the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to be the focal point to support investors in completing the project. Request localities and accompanying sectors to support investors in completing the report and sending it to the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to get opinions from sectors before submitting it to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration.
