On the evening of March 27, the 18th Dedication Awards Ceremony in 2024 organized by the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) took place with the participation of many artists, athletes, coaches, and guests.

Musician Do Bao was honored in the category of Program of the Year.

This is the 18th season of the Dedication Award and the second season to be expanded to the sports field, with two award systems: the Dedication Music Award and the Dedication Sports Award.

This year, the Dedication Awards honored many new names. Apart from veteran musician Do Bao, the rest were mostly young talents.

In this year’s Dedication season, musician Do Bao was nominated in two categories: Program of the Year with “Do Bao & Friends | Alone” (Do Bao x The Bros) and Musician of the Year. In the end, the musician born in 1978 was honored in the Program of the Year category.

Black received the Male Singer of the Year award.

In the Male Singer of the Year category, the winner was Den. Not only that, Den and his team also won the Music Video of the Year award (“Cooking for you” - Composer: Den; Performed by: Den ft. PiaLinh; Director: Phuong Vu).

Double2T is the name that surpassed Dong Thien Duc, Tang Duy Tan, Wren Evans and tlinh in the Song of the Year category with the song "A Loi" (Composer: Bui Xuan Truong; Performer: Double2T ft Masew). This is a song that immediately after its release quickly created a fever thanks to capturing the psychology of listeners, especially young people. Not only that, "A Loi" is also a trend that has covered the social network TikTok with the "A Loi transformation" trend for a long time. And, the success of "A Loi" once again proves that the appeal of combining folk elements and contemporary music is not a new direction, but it is still fertile ground for musicians and producers to exploit. Not only that, Double2T also brought home the New Artist of the Year award.

The Musician of the Year category of the 18th Dedication season honored Hua Kim Tuyen, the music producer for Van Mai Huong's album "Minh tinh" and spent almost all of 2023 composing for the female singer.

This is also the album that brought the Album of the Year award to Van Mai Huong after surpassing other strong albums including: "A Diary of Melody" (Hoang Quyen), "Ai" (tlinh), "Ozone" (OPlus), "Vu tru co bay" (Phuong My Chi).

This year's Dedication Award marks the third time DTAP has been honored as Producer of the Year. Previously, DTAP won the Dedication Award in this category in the 2020 and 2023 seasons.

In 2023, DTAP's collaboration with singer Phuong My Chi for the album "Vu tru co bay" (nominated for Album of the Year this year) with strong literary elements contributed to Vietnamese music with quality artistic values, while also changing and bringing a new feature to Phuong My Chi's musical personality. In 2023, DTAP also held the role of Music Director for two major programs, "Vietnam Idol 2023" and "Chi dep dap gio xu song 2023".

In the category of Program Series of the Year, “Vietnam Idol 2023” was honored. Of the 5 nominations in this category, 3 are outdoor music festivals that have resonated with music lovers, namely HAY Festival (HAY Glamping Music Festival), Monsoon Music Festival 2023 and GENfest (Multisensory Music Portal) and 1 music playground on television like Vietnam Idol is Rap Viet 2023.

Finally, based on the Award Regulations, the Organizing Committee and the Selection Council of this year's Dedication Award have decided to consider awarding the Dedication Impression Award 2024 to the Organizing Committee of the Art Program "Vietnamese Birds" commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of musician Van Cao because this program has spread, inspired and left a deep impression on the public and professionals. The Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Musicians Association are the units that coordinated the organization of this program and were honored to receive the Dedication Impression Award.

Vietnam women's volleyball team received the Sports Achievement of the Year award.

At the Dedication Sports Tournament, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, with its historic achievement of entering the Top 4 of Asia for the first time, won the Sports Achievement of the Year category. Under the leadership of Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, gathering all the best hitters at the moment, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has made a strong rise when reaching the semi-finals at the 19th ASIAD and the Asian Championship, affirming its position in the group of 4 strongest teams of women's volleyball in the continent in 2023.

Swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang received the Sports Face of the Year award.

In the Sports Face of the Year category, Nguyen Huy Hoang marked an impressive return. He is the only representative who made it into the Top 3 nominations last season to continue to be nominated for the 2024 Sports Dedication Award. The achievement of winning a ticket to the 2024 Olympics, winning 2 bronze medals at the 19th ASIAD and 3 gold medals, 1 bronze medal at the 32nd SEA Games, along with the support of fans and votes from the Professional Council helped Nguyen Huy Hoang win the Dedication Award for the first time.

Meanwhile, surpassing many strong competitors, player Tran Thi Ngoc Yen won the Young Sports Face of the Year category. At the age of 19, the youngest member of the national sepak takraw team and her teammates had a successful year of competition. Notably, she brought home the 19th ASIAD gold medal for Vietnamese sepak takraw after 17 years of waiting, along with the Asian and world championships in the 4-women's team event in 2023.

The Aspiration Award for Dedication - a category appearing for the first time in the Dedication Sports Award 2024 - was awarded to the VietGoal Children's Football Center founded and run by Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam.

VietGoal was established in 2012 and is the largest children's football center in Vietnam with 15,000 students practicing weekly under the guidance of 500 coaches at more than 154 locations in 6 major cities and provinces across the country.

The 18th Dedication Award in 2024 is organized by the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) with the support of News Television (VNews) and Ngoc Viet Corporation Company Limited.
