The performance "Lullaby of the Country - Lullaby of Au Lac" with impressive sound and light combination helped the University of Economics and Law win the National Student Singing Contest.
On the evening of December 10, the final round of the 15th National Student Singing Competition - S.Music 2023 took place with the participation of 12 teams. The 700-seat auditorium of Phenikaa University was packed, with many people standing along the aisles to watch and cheer.
University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City National University, won first prize with the group performance "Dat nuoc roi ru - Loi ru Au lac" .
"I burst into joy and happiness. This is a worthy achievement for the whole team's efforts," said team leader Luong Quoc Do, a fourth-year student of the school's Foreign Economics Department.

Do said that the team from the University of Economics and Law, consisting of 30 students, from first to fourth year, arrived in Hanoi on October 9. The whole group was excited because this was the first time they had flown by plane and performed at a large art program for students nationwide.
In addition to singing, the team impressed with their drum performance, combined with sound effects, lighting and LED screens, creating a majestic atmosphere. Do said the competition performance was rehearsed over two months.

The final night performances were generally elaborately invested in terms of choreography, costumes, setting and script, with highlights such as January (Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics), or the mashup of Oh My Homeland, Homeland, and Improvisation of the Red River (Banking Academy).
Some war-themed performances touched the audience, such as The Flame of 20s by Can Tho University, Forever 20 - Uncle is marching with us (Phenikaa University). Meanwhile, the solo performance Con Co by Dong A University of Technology surprised many audience members with the contestant's professional voice.

"National Student Singing Contest" is the largest art competition for students. The contest was first held in 1991 and has been held 14 times to date, with the aim of creating a useful playground, discovering talents, enhancing aesthetic education for students, and promoting the building of school culture. Many singers have come to the public and become famous, such as singers Tan Minh, Thuy Dung, Trang Nhung, My Linh, Tran Thu Ha...
The theme of the 2023 competition is "Building school culture", praising the love of homeland, country, school, teachers and friends; expressing the dreams, aspirations, feelings and responsibilities of students towards themselves, their families and the community. Each performance consists of two parts: the main singing part and the supporting part.
The first prize winners received a certificate of merit from the Minister of Education and Training, a medal and a prize of 20 million VND.
