For example, the school announced that the admission score for the Foreign Economic Relations standard program using the 2025 high school graduation exam results of three subjects in the school's admission subject group according to group A00 is 27.00 points (x = 27.00).
Based on the Percentile Table for the Standard Program (Table 1) below, this benchmark score will be in the 3rd percentile (Around 3), with high school graduation exam results in the range (26.75 - 27.30).
Then the equivalent admission score for specialized students using high school results of 3 subjects will belong to the corresponding percentile range 3 (Range 3) in Table 1, with an admission score value in the range (28.12 - 28.38). From there, the corresponding conversion coefficients will be determined as:
a = 26.75; b = 27.30; c = 28.12; d = 28.38
Applying the formula for calculating the equivalent admission score "y" for specialized students using high school study results from the admission score using the method of using high school graduation exam results "x = 27.00" according to combination A00 will be calculated as follows:
Thus, the admission score of the Foreign Economic Relations standard program using the 2025 high school graduation exam results of three subjects in the A00 admission subject group of the School is 27.00 points, equivalent to the admission score for specialized students using high school study results of 28.24 points.
Similarly, the equivalent admission score of the subjects using the results of the Hanoi National University (HSA) High School Graduation Exam, converted on a 30-point scale, will belong to the corresponding percentile range 3 (Round 3) in Table 1, with an admission score value in the range (27.80 - 28.00). From there, the corresponding conversion coefficients will be determined as follows:
a = 26.75; b = 27.30; c = 27.80; d = 28.00
Applying the formula for calculating the equivalent admission score "y" for subjects using the results of the Hanoi National University's High School Graduation Exam (HSA) from the admission score of the high school graduation exam results "x = 27.00" will be calculated as follows:
So the admission score of the Foreign Economic Relations standard program using the 2025 high school graduation exam results of three subjects in the A00 admission subject group of the School is 27.00 points, equivalent to the admission score according to the subject using the results of the National High School Graduation Exam of Hanoi National University (HSA) is 27.89 points.
Accordingly, in the same score conversion table, the standard score "x" in the percentile range (a,b) of this admission method/group of admission subjects will be equivalent to the standard score " y" in the percentile range (c,d) corresponding to another admission method/group of admission subjects according to the following formula:

In 2025, Foreign Trade University will enroll students through 4 methods, with 4,180 targets, an increase of 50 targets compared to last year.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter earlier, Master Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of Training Management Department, Foreign Trade University, said that for international certificates, the school still uses SAT, ACT and A-level.
The A-Level entry quality assurance threshold remains unchanged but the SAT score is higher, from 1380/1600 and ACT from 30/36.
"This is one of the new points this year because last year, the school took SAT from 1260, and ACT 27.
Increasing the standards for candidates with international certificates aims to continue improving the quality of student input," said Master Pham Thanh Ha.

Method of considering high school graduation exam results 2025: In this method, candidates can consider exam scores independently, or in combination with international language certificates. The conditions for IELTS scores and other certificates are equivalent to considering transcripts.
In the admission method based on academic records: In 2025, Foreign Trade University will apply to three groups of candidates, including: participating in the national science and technology excellent student competition; winning third prize or higher in the city-level excellent student competition; being students of specialized schools.
Students can use the average score of 6 semesters of three subjects in the combination; or combine it with an international language certificate. When considering the combination, the certificate score will be converted and replace the English subject in the combination.
