It was thought that this match would end with a victory for Thanh Hoa, but in the 10th minute of extra time of the second half, HAGL found a goal to equalize the score. 1m95 tall center back Dinh Quang Kiet, in the attack phase, received a pass from Marciel, tapped the ball from about ten meters, scoring the equalizer 1-1 for HAGL.
With this draw, both Thanh Hoa and HAGL have 8 points after 10 matches, one point more than the bottom teamSHB Da Nang. Both Thanh Hoa and HAGL are playing one match less than their opponents in LPBank V-League 2025-2026.
