Thailand national team called up Jude Soonsup-Bell for the first time, a star playing in England.

The Thai national team has announced a list of 23 players called up for the FIFA Days series in mid-November. Among them is 21-year-old striker Jude Soonsup-Bell, who plays in League Two, England.

Thailand will have a friendly match with Singapore on November 13, before visiting Sri Lanka on November 18 in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Notably, these are the first matches that the "War Elephants" are led by new coach Anthony Hudson (England), who replaces Japanese coach Masatada Ishii.

In the list of 23 players that the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) has just announced, there are 3 players that Thai fans are looking forward to: Theerathon Bunmathan, Teerasil Dangda and Sarach Yooyen. They will join Chanathip Songkrasin and Nicholas Mikkelson with the goal of helping Thailand win 3 points against Sri Lanka to compete for a place in the 2027 Asian Cup.

However, the appearance of Jude Soonsup-Bell attracted more attention. This 21-year-old striker was born and raised in England but his grandfather is Thai.

Recently, FAT President Madam Pang met and persuaded Jude Soonsup-Bell to quickly become a naturalized player to play for the Thai national team. The Thai press also highly appreciated Jude Soonsup-Bell's talent and hoped that he would shine in his first appearance with the War Elephants.

In fact, the name Jude Soonsup-Bell was mentioned by the Thai media 5 years ago, when he continuously scored goals for the Chelsea youth team and the England U16 team.

This striker is the second highest scorer for the England U16 team, only behind Jadon Sancho. At that time, many British newspapers even compared Jude Soonsup-Bell to the talented young German football star Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich).

But over time, Jude Soonsup-Bell failed to make an impact with Chelsea and Tottenham in England before being pushed to play for Cordoba in the Spanish First Division. Last August, the 1.84m tall player returned to England to play for Grimsby Town in League Two of England (equivalent to the 4th division).
