
The Draft Political Report of the 13th Party Central Committee presented at the 14th Party Congress in the section on sustainable development management; ensuring progress, social justice, and caring for people's lives mentioned the important task of "Building a fair, high-quality, effective, and sustainable health system; focusing on improving the quality and skills in disease prevention, examination, treatment, and good disease control. Effectively implementing the National Target Program on health care, population, and development. Improving the quality and efficiency of the health service delivery network from the central to grassroots levels to respond to changes in disease trends and universal health care coverage; all people have access to and use quality primary health care services and receive free health check-ups at least once a year". This demonstrates our Party's attention to the work of protecting and caring for people's health in realizing the goal of comprehensive development of Vietnamese people.

Comrade Luong Thi Nhung, Head of Nghia Thuan Commune Health Station, Tuyen Quang Province, expressed her high agreement with the contents of the document submitted to the 14th Party Congress. She hopes that the Central Government will continue to invest in commune health stations to ensure operational capacity and meet the primary health care needs of the people. Supplement basic and essential medical equipment, especially equipment for diagnosis, initial examination and preventive medicine (such as color ultrasound machines, biochemical testing machines, electrocardiograms, ENT endoscopy, first aid equipment, etc.). Pay attention to salaries, allowances and incentives for the sector, especially for areas with special socio -economic difficulties, borders and islands.

Expressing her proposal, comrade Hoang Thi Hang, a nursing bachelor at Tung Vai Commune Health Station, Tuyen Quang Province shared: I hope the Central Government will continue to pay attention to the grassroots health care career, including the training and development of human resources for medical staff and doctors at the health station with sufficient professional qualifications to meet the job requirements. Provide adequate and timely supply of essential medicines, especially medicines on the health insurance list, so that the Commune Health Station can perform its professional scope to the maximum extent, reducing the situation of patients having to go to higher levels due to lack of medicines.

A strong and modern grassroots health system will help the country proactively respond to epidemics, reduce the burden of treatment costs, and bring equality in access to health services between regions. It is expected that, in the documents of the 14th Party Congress, the effective implementation of the National Target Program on health care, population and development; and improving the quality and efficiency of the health service delivery network from the central to the grassroots levels will continue to receive attention.
Therefore, building a professional, modern, and comprehensive grassroots health system is not only the task of the health sector, but also a strategy for developing Vietnamese people in the new period, aiming at the goal of "rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization". And successfully implementing it 5-year development goals and targets 2026 - 2030: human development index (HDI) strives to reach about 0.78; average life expectancy from birth reaches about 75.5 years, of which healthy life expectancy reaches at least 68 years.
