On the morning of March 19, within the framework of the 2025 Danang City Quan The Am Festival, the Danang City Peace Committee coordinated with the Festival Organizing Committee and the People's Committee of Ngu Hanh Son District to organize the program Walk for Peace for Humanity.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Van Trung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, Chairman of the Peace Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized: "The walking program is not only a cultural and sports activity but also carries a message of solidarity and love among peoples, nations and communities around the world. Peace is the common aspiration of humanity, and today every step we take is a contribution to a world of peace and sustainable development".

Also within the framework of the Quan The Am Festival, yesterday, March 18, a traditional boat race took place to capture the flag carrying Princess Huyen Tran, attracting a large number of people and tourists to watch on the Co Co River.
This year, the tournament brings together 5 men's boat racing teams (Hai Chau, Lien Chieu, Cam Le, Son Tra, Hoa Vang) and 5 women's boat racing teams (My An, Khue My, Hoa Hai, Hoa Quy - Da Nang City, Duy Tan - Quang Nam).
This is a traditional boat race reenacting the scene of General Tran Khac Chung obeying the orders of King Tran Anh Tong, bringing elite soldiers to welcome Princess Huyen Tran from Champa to the capital of Dai Viet.

In the women's category, Hoa Hai Ward team won the championship cup, Duy Tan Commune team came in second, Khue My Ward team won third prize, and My An Ward team won the consolation prize.
In the men's boat event, Hoa Vang District team won and participated in the procession of Princess Huyen Tran; Hai Chau District team came in second, Lien Chieu District team came in third, and Cam Le District team received the consolation prize.
The traditional boat racing festival of Quan The Am Festival with historical reenactments is one of the unique cultural beauties that is characteristic of the river region. It is a cultural and religious activity with profound humanistic meaning, praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, bountiful harvests, and happiness for every family.

3,000 people run for public health
Previously, on the morning of March 16, in Ngu Hanh Son District, the Olympic Running Day for the Health of the People in 2025 also took place with more than 3,000 participants, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025).
Delegates, residents and tourists participated in the 2km run, and the Da Nang City armed forces also participated in the 1km group run.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City, Head of the event organizing committee, said that over the years, the mass sports movement in the city has developed strongly, attracting a large number of people, contributing to improving physical fitness, quality of life and building a healthy lifestyle in the community.

As a result, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to the City Military Command, the second prize to the 372nd Air Division; the third prize went to the 375th Air Defense Division and the City Police; the consolation prize went to the Naval Region 3 Command and the City Border Guard Command.
