The Van Tuong Victory National Monument Complex was ranked in 1982, including many artifacts and relics located in Binh Hai and Binh Hoa communes (Binh Son district, Quang Ngai ). Among them, the Loc Tu steel trench relic site (in village 3, Binh Hoa commune) still preserves and displays the remains of a tank from the anti-American resistance war. Currently, this relic site does not have a protective fence, and is not regularly maintained, maintained and managed.

"In the long run, I'm afraid this relic will be lost. The tank has rusted over time. Some people lack awareness and come here to have fun, litter, write and draw graffiti in the relic area," said Mr. Le Cat (70 years old, in village 3, Binh Hoa commune).

The Ngoc Huong painting hill relic (part of the Van Tuong Victory Relic Complex) is also in a state of desolation. Weeds and trees have grown wildly, blocking the path to the area where the stele recording the content and historical events of the Van Tuong Victory is erected.

Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Suong, a cultural and social officer of the People's Committee of Binh Hoa Commune, said that the local government has received feedback from the people about the deterioration of the relic. Thereby, the locality also proposed that the superiors soon take measures to restore and repair it to promote the historical value of this national relic.

Currently, in Binh Son District, there are 4 national relics, 14 provincial relics and 10 historical, cultural and scenic sites on the inventory list. Of which, the Van Tuong National Victory Relic has been assigned by the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee to the Binh Son District People's Committee to manage, responsible for protecting, exploiting and promoting the value of the relic.

According to Mr. Pham Quang Su, Vice Chairman of Binh Son District People's Committee, the Van Tuong National Victory Monument has been supported by the district and province for a long time, but some outdoor items such as tunnels and tank relics are now seriously degraded. "Binh Son District People's Committee has directed the Department of Culture and Information to organize the development of a project to restore and embellish the relics in the area. It is expected that the proposal will be restored and embellished in the period from now until 2025," said Mr. Su.

The historical event of Van Tuong Victory on August 18, 1965 is a testament to the courage, intelligence and creativity of our army and people in defeating the enemy's large-scale "Search and Destroy" operation. The artifacts and images preserved at the Van Tuong Victory National Relic Complex are vivid lessons toeducate the tradition of patriotism and national pride, especially for the younger generation.
