It is known that journalist Huynh Dung Nhan grew up from a normal reporter. He writes in many different genres and fields. Working as a journalist for about 7-8 years, journalist Huynh Dung Nhan is known by many readers with many articles in the reportage genre.

During his first years at Tuoi Tre newspaper, journalist Huynh Dung Nhan was assigned to write about many areas, including national security, internal affairs, and more or less related to the law. So there were cases related to investigations that he had to jump into. He couldn’t remember how many cases he investigated, but he remembered that this period was quite stressful. There were investigations into kidnappings, wrongful convictions, assaults on traffic police, and economic corruption in some units.

There have been many successful investigations. But there have also been cases that have not gone as expected. A typical example is the case of wrongful arrest in District 6, Ho Chi Minh City, which the press has recently reopened because the victim is still claiming innocence and suing everywhere.

Journalist Huynh Dung Nhan shared: “There were cases where people threatened to kill me with a grenade. There were also people who wanted to dig out my heart and liver to see how big it was. But when I was right and had a strong group behind me, luckily that didn’t happen. I can still travel, love and write until today...”.

At the book launch, journalist Huynh Dung Nhan told about the times he risked his life when working as a journalist, such as the time he wrote a report about wild elephants, he went into the forest alone for many days and then after returning, he wrote a report about elephant conservation in the Central Highlands. Or the story of him risking a ride on a plane to find another crashed plane, this was considered a risk because there had been many flights that had crashed in this area, in fact at that time, the plane he "failed to hitchhike" crashed on the way to the rescue.

Or there were times when he went into the border area of another country to do a report on smuggling, traveling 50km deep into the interior, not being allowed to bring any working tools or documents, if the cases were discovered, it was easy to encounter unexpected problems due to the problem of illegal border crossing... in many reports, he had to "risk" like that.

“Through the program, I also realized that Mr. Nhan is an enthusiastic person. He said he has the motivation to live, but I see that he is someone who can inspire many other people. He also has some illnesses but he still overcomes them. Mr. Nhan is an example of a brother in the journalism community, always enthusiastic and happy. Mr. Nhan is like a childish man, he is always happy, lives positively and passes on that lifestyle to us,” journalist Vo Hong Thu shared.
