On the morning of August 31, the construction unit of Dien Doai overpass (Dien Chau) on National Highway 48 over the North-South Expressway is focusing all its manpower and machinery to complete the final items of the project, in order to open it to traffic by the end of the day.
The construction of the overpass on National Highway 48 over the North-South Expressway is behind schedule because 14 households whose land is adjacent to National Highway 48 have not yet cleared their land. The reason these households are slow to hand over the land is because they believe that the construction of the Dien Doai overpass on National Highway 48 over the North-South Expressway will devalue their land, and they require compensation or resettlement.
According to the Land Clearance Council of Dien Chau district, the request of 14 households is baseless. Because in the previous phase, when upgrading National Highway 48, the households received compensation. The traffic safety corridor of National Highway 48 has been marked at the site. Meanwhile, Dien Doai overpass is located entirely on the main axis and within the corridor of National Highway 48, not affecting the land of the related households.
Dien Chau District People's Committee and the District Land Clearance Council have proactively sought opinions from provincial and central agencies and responded in writing to households many times. They have organized many dialogue sessions, explained legal regulations; propagated and mobilized households not to obstruct construction works...
Therefore, to ensure progress, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district has organized protection for the construction of Dien Doai overpass on National Highway 48 over the North-South Expressway, Nghi Son - Dien Chau section from July 7, 2023 to August 31, 2023 - before the technical traffic opening time according to the construction unit's plan.
After nearly 2 months of active construction, the National Highway 48 overpass over the North-South Expressway is basically completed. According to Mr. Vu Quang Duc - Deputy Director of the Nghi Son - Dien Chau Expressway Project Management Board, it is expected that on August 31, the construction unit will complete the final items. And in the evening of the same day, the service roads crossing the expressway will be closed, opening the National Highway 48 overpass to ensure the safety of people traveling, as well as the progress of the Nghi Son - Dien Chau expressway project.
