At 7:15 this morning (June 27), anxiety flashed across the faces of teachers and parents at Tran Nhat Duat High School when a candidate was still absent from the roll call list. Without hesitation, the teacher immediately contacted the family, even asking the parents to check the cameras at home in case the student overslept. Only when all 228 students were present and on time did the tension subside, giving way to reassuring smiles.

Mr. Cao Xuan Dung, Principal of Tran Nhat Duat High School, who was present at the school gate to take attendance and support students, shared that this activity has been maintained by the school for many years. Mr. Dung emphasized the importance of accompanying students during this crucial period: "You have worked very hard to study. The two exam days are important for you to realize your dreams. If it is just a small mistake like falling asleep or forgetting your papers, it will be a great pity for your 12-year journey of studying." He also recalled a story 6 years ago, when a student was late, the school sent a teacher to pick him up at his house to take him to the exam site. That further affirmed the school's deep concern: "We only feel secure when all the students arrive at the exam site safely, on time, and do well on the exam."

Not only stopping at the roll call, Tran Nhat Duat High School also shows its thoughtfulness in every small detail. Students arriving at the exam site are carefully checked for documents and learning tools that are allowed to be brought into the exam room. The school will keep items that are not allowed to be brought in for the students outside, ensuring that there are no mistakes that affect their psychology and exam results.
After each exam, teachers were present at the school gate to return the students’ materials, and at the same time, ask questions and encourage them. Especially, before difficult exams like Math yesterday afternoon, when many students were sad because they could not do the test as expected, teachers promptly encouraged them so that their spirit would not be affected for the next exam.

Mr. Dang Van Thanh, who has spent 6 years standing at the school gate to support candidates, shared countless memorable memories. He recounted a story in 2023, when a student came to school but forgot his ID card at home. When he contacted the parents, they were told that they were working far away and could not return in time. Without hesitation, Mr. Thanh drove the student home, asked the parents' permission to break the lock to get the documents, and even asked the neighbors to help watch the house.

Cases of students arriving late seem to be inevitable in every exam. Teacher Thanh shared a situation yesterday afternoon, when a student arrived late and the parent confirmed that the child had gone to the exam. However, through checking the camera, it was discovered that the student was still sleeping in the room. Thanks to the school's initiative, the parent promptly called to urge the child to wake up to go to the exam. From these experiences, the school further understands the importance of taking attendance of each student, in order to promptly provide support when necessary.

Ms. Chu Thi Thu Hien, a parent whose child took the exam and also directly participated in the roll call and supported the candidates at the school gate, expressed her deep gratitude: "I find this activity of the school very meaningful. The children are supported, and even if the parents are busy with work and cannot take their children to the exam, they still feel secure." Ms. Hien also believes that the presence of the school, parents and volunteer students at the school gate helped the children feel more confident when entering the exam room.
