Dong Nai Electricity responds to information about power cut to relocate technical infrastructure for Bien Hoa

There has been coordination with the investor

According to PC Dong Nai , recently, Dong Nai Newspaper has had 2 news related to the relocation of electrical infrastructure works to construct important national traffic projects in the province: "The Prime Minister requested to complete all site clearance work for Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway before April 30, without delay" and "Do not let contractors complain that the province has not done a good job in relocating technical infrastructure systems to serve the construction of projects".

PC Dong Nai Company said that currently, in Long Thanh district, Nhon Trach district and Bien Hoa city, there are 2 key traffic projects being implemented: Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City. These projects all have power grid infrastructure that needs to be relocated or renovated.

Since July 2024, PC Dong Nai has deployed contents related to the work of unifying technical design, construction plan and power cut to relocate related electrical infrastructure.

For the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, Dong Nai PC agreed on the technical design for relocating component 2 grid on July 17, 2024 and agreed on the technical plan for relocating component 1 grid on August 16, 2024. According to the design documents, there are 51 electrical items that need to be relocated and 8 110kV grid locations intersecting the expressway overpass, renovating 10 tower locations of the existing 110kV line. Currently, the Long Thanh District Project Management Board has handed over the site of 4 foundation locations to the construction unit.

For the Ring Road 3 Project - Ho Chi Minh City, invested by the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, there is 1 intersection with the 110kV line, 6 intersections with the medium voltage line, 19 intersections with the low voltage line and 10 22/0.4kV transformer stations. Currently, the Board has not selected a contractor to relocate the power grid.

As of April 25, Dong Nai PC has coordinated with relevant units to cut off power and complete the handling of 12 medium and low voltage lines; there are 39 remaining locations, of which 31 medium and low voltage lines have not been submitted by the investor for construction plans, nor have they submitted a power cut plan to the power company for relocation.

Must have a power outage schedule in advance

PC Dong Nai said that the unit is always proactive and closely follows and coordinates with related units to cut off electricity to relocate electrical items. However, cutting off electricity to relocate items usually takes place for 1 day, affecting the daily life and production of people and businesses, so the electricity company needs to notify customers in advance. If the construction unit does not have a plan in advance and requests to cut off electricity in a hurry or requests to cut off electricity when there is no construction plan, PC Dong Nai cannot implement.

In addition, from April 27, 2025 to May 4, 2025, the company will prioritize power supply to serve the festival at Son Tien Tourist Area and the April 30 and May 1 holidays, so the power outage registration schedules of the construction unit during this time will not be implemented. Dong Nai PC and the construction unit have agreed to move to another suitable time. The company has reported these contents to the departments, branches and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee.

In the coming time, in order for the relocation of electrical technical infrastructure to be carried out to meet the progress of the construction unit, PC Dong Nai recommends that the Long Thanh District Project Management Board and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center request the construction units to relocate technical infrastructure to send staff to coordinate with the electricity unit to prepare a document agreeing on safety measures, construction plan and send a document on the construction plan with power outage to the electricity unit.

For the remaining 31 locations, right after the holiday, the parties will agree on the progress and relocation plan according to the construction plan and register for power outages according to regulations.
