Immediately after the Prime Minister issued the above telegram, localities across the country, including Dong Nai , proactively implemented a peak plan to fight against and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, etc.
Strengthen inspection and handling of violations
The Provincial People's Committee has issued Decision No. 1663/QD-UBND to establish a Working Group to direct, supervise and urge the work of the peak period of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights in the province (referred to as the Working Group). The Working Group consists of 18 members, with Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc as Head of the Group and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung as Permanent Deputy Head of the Group.
The Provincial Working Group has issued a plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud, and intellectual property infringement in the province. Accordingly, the plan will focus on strengthening the prevention and combat of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, goods that violate intellectual property rights, prohibited goods, goods that affect human health, security, order, and social safety such as: food, food, milk and dairy products, health protection foods, functional foods, food products, nutrition (in the form of powdered milk), modern medicine, cosmetics, gasoline, coal, minerals, gold, alcohol, beer, etc.
At the working session with the delegation of the National Steering Committee on Anti-Smuggling, Trade Fraud and Counterfeit Goods (National Steering Committee 389) on May 27, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 389/DP Duong Minh Dung emphasized that the work of combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods has been focused on by Dong Nai with many solutions and regularly deployed. Members of the Working Group directing, supervising and urging the peak work of fighting, preventing and repelling smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the province need to proactively organize, arrange forces, strengthen coordination in inspection and handling of violations; Implement relevant reporting regimes in a timely and proper manner... Relevant departments and branches in the province have issued a peak plan to combat and prevent smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement in the management areas in the area.
Head of the Dong Nai Market Management Department (Department of Industry and Trade) Nguyen Van Phuc shared that the department has issued a plan to monitor, inspect, and handle smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement in the province. For example, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency urgently arrested a group of subjects participating in a fraud ring through the Matrix Chain (MTC) virtual currency exchange with tens of thousands of people investing about 10 trillion VND. On May 29, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case of "manufacturing and trading in counterfeit goods" that occurred at EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (located in Trang Bom district) for investigation and handling according to regulations...
Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 389/DP DUONG MINH DUNG emphasized that relevant units need to strengthen information and propaganda work on the peak of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
Improve the effectiveness of propaganda work

Deputy Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) Nguyen Thanh Nam emphasized that the local Steering Committee 389/DP needs to continue to proactively coordinate with functional forces, mass organizations, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, associations, and enterprises to promote propaganda and information on the prevention and fight against counterfeit goods and trade fraud in the area, paying attention to improving knowledge about intellectual property for businesses, raising awareness of consumers about the fight against counterfeit goods, etc.
Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee 389 Tran Duc Dong suggested that the Provincial Steering Committee 389/DP should continue to closely follow the direction, proactively grasp the situation, strengthen measures to combat and coordinate between relevant sectors to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights within the scope of responsibility; at the same time, strengthen propaganda work, raise public awareness of vigilance against the tricks of production and consumption of counterfeit and smuggled goods...
