Phu Hoa Electricity: Digital transformation to support customers

To effectively control electricity usage , especially to help people promptly detect incidents and avoid electricity loss , Phu Hoa Electricity has deployed solutions to support customers in controlling electricity output , helping people use electricity effectively and safely .

 

Early detection of abnormalities

 

On average, Mrs. Tran Thi Hue's household in Hoa An commune uses 4-5kWh of electricity every day, but recently, the electricity index suddenly increased 10 times. This was discovered by Phu Hoa Electricity through the abnormal electricity warning program. In addition to contacting the family to warn, Phu Hoa Electricity workers went to the house to check and discovered that the line leading from the meter to Mrs. Hue's house was leaking electricity.

 

Ms. Hue said: “Thanks to Phu Hoa Electricity for detecting and informing the family, if we had waited a few more days, we wouldn’t know how much electricity would have been wasted. After the electricity company repaired the problem, the electricity meter returned to normal, and the family was very reassured.”

 

Mr. Le Cong Dien in Hoa Thang commune said that normally his family uses about 100kWh/month. But recently, the electricity consumption increased to more than 350kWh. "Phu Hoa Electricity sent staff to check, detect the leak and repair it. The main reason is that the family recently installed a booster pump that did not meet technical standards, causing an electric leak," Mr. Dien said.

 

Director of Phu Hoa Electricity Tran Ngoc Phuoc said: These are just 2 of many households that Phu Hoa Electricity promptly detected and supported to fix the electric leakage, ensuring safety for customers using electricity.

 

In addition, Phu Hoa Electricity also guides and supports customers to fix problems such as light bulbs that do not turn on but still light up, turning off all electrical equipment but the meter is still running. The unit also consults and answers customers' questions about the safety of the lines after the meter.

 

Support people

 

To help people control their electricity usage, in addition to propaganda work, Phu Hoa Power also deploys solutions associated with digital transformation. Through the software system for warning of abnormal electricity output, every day, this unit obtains a list of households using more than 30% more electricity than the previous month. From there, the unit notifies electricity users to pay attention as well as supports households in checking and handling incidents that cause abnormal increases in electricity output.

 

Mr. Le Manh Hung, Head of the Electricity Trading Supervision Team - Phu Hoa Electricity Business Department said: On average, every day, through the program, the unit screens, checks, supports and guides how to fix about 30 cases of customers with abnormally increased electricity output.

 

The unit also supports many customers to fix electrical leaks. The main causes come from the water heater, automatic water pump and the refrigerator's cold sticker not automatically turning off...

 

If these cases are not detected early, they will directly affect the electricity bill as well as pose many potential electrical safety risks. Therefore, people need to pay attention and regularly check the above devices.

 

“Cases with abnormally high electricity bills are partly due to people increasing the intensity of their use of electrical equipment. When the demand for electricity increases, if the wiring system behind the meter is not properly maintained, it can easily lead to overloading, causing damage, electrical leakage, and endangering the safety of electricity users and those around them,” Mr. Hung added.

 

According to Phu Hoa Electricity Business Department, identifying the customer service app as a useful application, providing good support for customers to monitor electricity indexes, quickly reflect to the Electricity industry..., Phu Hoa Electricity is focusing on promoting, guiding, and supporting customers to install and use the Electricity industry's customer service app on smartphones.

 

The unit organized many propaganda campaigns at the headquarters of villages, neighborhoods, and densely populated areas. Customers who came to contact the unit's transaction office were guided and supported by staff to install on the spot. In addition, Phu Hoa Electricity also organized forces to go to each household to mobilize and guide people to install and use this app.

 

Director of Phu Hoa Electricity Tran Ngoc Phuoc said: In addition to the program to warn about abnormal electricity output, the Electricity industry currently has many programs to help customers monitor electricity output such as RF-Spider, MDMS, customer service app... Thereby, electricity units can proactively monitor and promptly detect abnormalities to support customers to quickly fix electrical problems at home and in their establishments, ensuring electrical safety and minimizing losses.

According to Phu Hoa Electricity, customers should install the Electricity industry's customer service app to proactively monitor daily electricity usage, to make appropriate adjustments or promptly detect abnormalities to report to the Electricity industry for handling.
