Congratulatory message on the 69th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party

On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (March 22, 1955 - March 22, 2024), the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, according to VNA.

The congratulatory message reads:

“During the 69-year historical journey, especially after 37 years of implementing the comprehensive renovation policy, under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao country and people have promoted the heroic revolutionary tradition, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and achieved great and historic achievements in the past struggle for national liberation, as well as in the current renovation, protection and construction of the country, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of the Lao Party and State in the international arena. Those achievements are the common joy of the two Parties, two States and people of the two countries.

The Party, State and people of Vietnam strongly and comprehensively support Laos's renovation and firmly believe that, continuing the nation's glorious historical tradition and promoting the achievements gained in recent years, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people and country will continue to gain many new and greater achievements in the renovation, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the 12th Congress of the Party; successfully building a peaceful , independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos according to the socialist goal.

The Party and State of Vietnam are extremely pleased and proud to see that, along with the important achievements that the two Parties, two States and peoples have attained in recent times, the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos founded, forged and nurtured by the great President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, and nurtured by generations of leaders of the two Parties, two States and peoples, has been continuously consolidated and developed, becoming increasingly deeper, practical and effective in all fields, actively contributing to the cause of innovation, national construction and defense in each country.

The Party, State and people of Vietnam always appreciate and remember the strong support, great, valuable, wholehearted, righteous and effective assistance that the Lao Party, State and people have given to the Party, State and people of Vietnam over the past time.

We will do our utmost together with the Lao Party, State and people to preserve, protect and foster the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos to develop further, for the benefit of the people of each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world."

On this occasion, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a flower basket to congratulate General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith; Standing member of the Secretariat and Head of the Central Organizing Committee Truong Thi Mai sent a flower basket to congratulate Standing member of the Secretariat and Vice President of Laos Bunthoong Chitmany and Head of the Central Organizing Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Sisay Ludetmounsone.

Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung sent a congratulatory letter to Head of the Central External Relations Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Thongsavanh Phomvihane.
