- In the early morning of April 25, in Chi Lang district , Lang Son Electricity Company organized a drill on disaster prevention, control and search and rescue (PCTT&TKCN), handling power grid incidents - information technology - safety in 2025.
Participating in the drill were officials and workers from power companies in charge of districts, cities and some specialized departments of Lang Son Power Company.
The drill was organized to proactively respond to all natural disaster situations during the rainy and stormy season, to minimize damage and consolidate, improve leadership and management capacity for PCTT&TKCN, as well as improve skills in quickly handling incidents on the power grid.
Before the field exercise, the Exercise Command Board presented many hypothetical scenarios of natural disasters causing incidents on many power lines. The members participating in the exercise exchanged, discussed and agreed to come up with optimal solutions in command and operation, preparing human resources, materials, means and logistics to respond promptly, overcome urgently and effectively in each situation.
At the scene, the drill command board presented hypothetical situations: at 5:30 a.m. on April 25, due to the influence of extreme weather in Lang Son province, Chi Lang district experienced rain, tornado-like storms, and strong lightning, causing trees to fall on the power line at poles 93-50-9 to 93-50-10 on the Van Linh - Y Tich route, causing broken porcelain, bent beams, and broken wires.
At the same time, also in the early morning of April 25, in Y Tich commune, Chi Lang district, there was rain, thunderstorms, and strong lightning, causing a fiber optic cable to break at poles 93-5-8 to 93-5-9 of the 35kV line on the Van Linh - Y Tich route. The fiber optic cable break caused a loss of connection to the operating technology network from the control center to the 110kV transformer station E13.1 in Dong Mo town area and a hypothetical situation during work, a worker slipped and fell, leading to a broken arm. The Chi Lang Power Company's ambulance team sent 2 officers to use first aid splints, put the victim on a stretcher and take him to the hospital by car.
In the hypothetical situations given during the exercise, the units practiced seriously, handled the situations well, ensured the time according to plan, and met the requirements set forth by the Exercise Command.
After completing the field exercise, the Command Board held a meeting to review experiences and continue to propose a number of hypothetical power grid incident scenarios caused by natural disasters for power units and members participating in the exercise to exchange, discuss and agree on optimal solutions in command and operation, preparing human resources, materials, means, and logistics to respond promptly, overcome urgently and effectively.
The rehearsal ended successfully, ensuring the volume and quality of work, the time to cut and re-connect the power according to plan, ensuring absolute safety for people and equipment.
Through the drill, officers and employees of the electricity sector have drawn lessons on safe and continuous power supply in stormy weather conditions, especially in response work. At the same time, they have also improved their capacity to handle situations and incidents, and their ability to coordinate and respond to forces in preparation, practice, search and rescue, and quickly and safely overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
