Adjusting and supplementing the list of projects to attract investment in Da Nang for the period 2022-2026, with a vision to 2030

Lien Chieu Port development investment area. Shared infrastructure is under construction.

* The first content is Adjustment of the project "2 Lien Chieu port starting terminals" at serial number 29 of the Appendix of the attached list 1652/QD-UBND dated June 21, 2022 of the People's Committee of Da Nang city. Specifically, the project name: Investment in the overall construction of Lien Chieu Container Port (List of projects calling for strategic investors according to the provisions of Point d, Clause 1, Article 12 of Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 dated June 26, 2024 of the National Assembly). Location in Lien Chieu district.

Objectives, scale and parameters related to the project: 8 container ports, with investment phases from 2025 to 2030: From 2 ports to 4 ports (including 2 wharves to 4 wharves), with a total length from 750m to 1,650m, receiving ships with a capacity of up to 100,000 tons or larger when qualified. Of which 2 ports are started, the remaining 2 are developed to suit the needs of international container transit. Cargo capacity throughput is 14.25÷36.3 million tons.

Railway yard, public parking lot, railway line connecting to Lien Chieu Station is about 1.5km long. Port rear: Warehouse system, port yard, other auxiliary works such as executive office, service house, repair shop, technical infrastructure,... and equipment to ensure port operations.

The total investment calling area is about 172.6ha (the area only includes the investment part in the project, not including other parts in the port planning (Detailed planning TL1/500) including: State agency area, green trees), of which 25.76ha is the water area in front of the wharf. The project has a total investment capital (expected) of about 45.26 trillion VND. The investment form is 100% of the investor's capital.

Current land use status and information on site clearance with land, water surface/ 3 existing petrol stations need to be relocated. (The relocation of 3 existing petrol stations (Site clearance costs, infrastructure compensation costs, relocation support costs and support when stopping exploitation) is carried out in Component Project 1 (Component A of the Lien Chieu Port Construction Investment Project, Da Nang City - The remaining shared infrastructure part is from public investment capital).

* Content 2 is to add the project "Liquid/gas port at Lien Chieu Wharf Area" to the List of projects attracting investment in Da Nang city for the period 2022-2026, with a vision to 2030, specifically the project name is Liquid/gas port at Lien Chieu Wharf Area, Lien Chieu district.

The objectives, scale and parameters related to the project include 6 liquid/gas ports, with investment phases from 2025 to 2030: From 1 port to 2 ports (including 1 wharf to 2 wharfs) serving LNG and LPG storage at Lien Chieu Wharf Area with a total length of 250m to 750m, receiving ships with a tonnage of up to 100,000 tons or larger when qualified; Liquid and gas storage with tank warehouses, factories, and auxiliary infrastructure for exploitation. Goods passed through are in accordance with the City Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050: National petroleum and gas storage and supply infrastructure planning; National power development planning.

The area of the liquid/gas port is about 62.29ha, of which the southern liquid/gas port (2 LNG/LPG ports) is about 42.48ha (warehouse, port, port hydropower: about 39.58ha; southern wave-protection and sand-protection embankment: about 2.9ha ). The liquid/gas cargo port behind the breakwater (4 ports, invested in the period after 2030) is about 19.81ha (port, port hydropower about 17.92ha; technical infrastructure shared by the ports is about 1.88ha).

The project has a total investment capital (expected) of about 5,429 trillion VND. The investment form is 100% investor capital.
