Investigation into the death of a young woman practicing yoga alone

On the morning of March 8, Lam Dong provincial authorities said they were investigating and verifying the cause of Ms. NTTH's death (born in 1996, residing in Da Lat city) while hanging from a cloth rope at a yoga room on Pham Hong Thai street, ward 10, Da Lat city.

Previously, at around 5:30 p.m. on March 7, Ms. Pham Thi Cuc (born in 1985, residing on Tran Quy Cap Street, Ward 9, Da Lat City) went to the gym and discovered that Ms. NTTH had died.

At the scene, Ms. H. was tied around the waist with a cloth exercise strap hanging from a beam, her legs almost touching the floor.

Many people with experience practicing this sport said that it is very possible that while practicing the movements related to the rope above, Ms. H. was tightened by the rope, which tightened her waist while her feet did not touch the floor.

This leads to the victim being strangled by the rope across the abdomen, causing suffocation and death.

Ms. H. has been practicing yoga for many years. She is currently preparing to take the exam for a yoga instructor certificate.
