On May 1, information from the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department said that the unit had received and rescued a mountain kite handed over by Binh Phu Power Company (under Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation).
On April 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department received a report from a resident who discovered a bird with its leg tied to a power line on Nguyen Dinh Kien Street (Tan Tao A Ward, Binh Tan District).
The Wildlife Rescue Station under the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department quickly coordinated with Binh Phu Power Company (under Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation) to verify the information and rescue the above bird.

Some employees of Binh Phu Electricity Company sent specialized vehicles to the scene, temporarily cut off the power, and approached to remove the strap on the bird's leg from the stuck position.
After bringing the bird down to the ground, Binh Phu Power Company handed it over to the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department.
The Forestry Department identified the bird as a mountain kite, scientific name Nisaetus nipalensis , belonging to group IIB in the list of rare and endangered forest animals.
The mountain kite above is a male, weighs about 1.2kg, is in poor health, and has a broken right leg.
The bird was then taken to the Wildlife Rescue Station of the Ho Chi Minh City Forestry Department for rescue and health care.
