The world No. 117 player caused a surprise in the second set when he broke Djokovic's serve to lead 3-1. However, the Serbian star showed remarkable courage when he regained 2 breaks, thereby winning 6-4.
The match ended after 80 minutes with a 6-3, 6-4 victory for number one seed Djokovic. In the other semi-final, number two seed Lorenzo Musetti defeated Sebastian Korda after 3 sets with the scores 6-0, 5-7, 7-5.
The Athens Open 2025 final between Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti will take place at 10pm tonight (November 8). Nole wants to win his second title in 2025 while the Italian needs to win in Greece to overcome Felix Auger-Aliassime and secure the last 8th place at the 2025 ATP Finals.
Djokovic ended a run of four consecutive semi-final losses this season, at Roland Garros, Wimbledon, the US Open and the Shanghai Masters. At the 2025 Australian Open, the Serbian star also stopped in the semi-finals against Zverev.
