This is a meaningful activity of the Vietnam Journalists Association on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Also attending were comrades: Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South; Nguyen Tuan Hung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency and leaders of nearly 30 central and local press agencies...
The headquarters of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association is located at House No. 13 (now No. 248-250), Van Minh Street, Dong Son District, Guangzhou City, in a large and quiet neighborhood. This is a place associated with the revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh in Guangzhou, China from 1924-1927.
House No. 13 was also the headquarters of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association. Here, he directly wrote, presented, printed and distributed Thanh Nien newspaper - the first mouthpiece of the Vietnamese revolution.
At the place where President Ho Chi Minh founded Thanh Nien Newspaper, Mr. Le Quoc Minh shared that on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association was extremely moved and proud to set foot here.
This is the place where the first core cadres of the Vietnamese revolution were trained, and it is also the place where Thanh Nien Newspaper was founded and published by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc (President Ho Chi Minh), marking the birth of the Vietnamese revolutionary press.
The visit was truly meaningful, because at the headquarters of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, the delegation was able to visit and learn about many valuable relics, many photos, handwriting, and listen to valuable stories shared... like slow-motion films about the history of revolutionary journalism.

Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh emphasized: “We - those who have been and are continuing our career journey, today, directly see the images, artifacts and listen to the introduction about the birth, the process of organizing and producing publications of Thanh Nien Newspaper in the past, as if we have been given more strength. And also from the stories about Him, we appreciate our profession even more, have more motivation to continue the journey, the mission of revolutionary journalists. Journalists today, always express our infinite gratitude to the contributions of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - President Ho Chi Minh - the one who laid the foundation for the birth of Vietnam's Revolutionary Journalism".

The artifacts, articles and newspaper pages still preserved here clearly show the ideology, content and journalism style of President Ho Chi Minh. Members of the delegation visited the newspaper's printing room, where leader Nguyen Ai Quoc and members of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association personally compiled, engraved and printed the newspaper.
Also here, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc opened 3 political training classes, training cadres for the Vietnamese revolution. He was directly in charge and the main lecturer of the classes. The lectures at these training classes were collected and published into the book "The Revolutionary Path ", which became one of the first theoretical documents of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
From these classes, many outstanding cadres of the Vietnamese revolution returned to the country to lead the people in uprisings and armed struggles to overthrow the colonial and feudal regimes, regain power and establish the first workers' and peasants' state in Southeast Asia - the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).
After visiting the artifacts, articles, and newspaper pages preserved here, Mr. Le Ngoc Long, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, shared: “For us, this is a very meaningful trip on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. Coming here, we seem to see valuable historical years, and we feel that we have learned many things from beloved Uncle Ho. First is Uncle Ho's journalism style and the goal that Uncle Ho aimed for, which was to spread Marxist-Leninist ideology; spread patriotism and promote the value of national solidarity to create the strength to drive out colonialists and imperialists to regain independence and freedom for the nation.
Through artifacts, newspapers and articles, we are more aware that the more favorable the conditions, the more efforts and struggles we must make for the goal of a press that serves the Fatherland and the people. The press must convey the Party's viewpoints and thoughts to the people, and at the same time, it is also a weapon to call for and gather the strength of the masses...".
For Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Ly Thi Trung, this is the second time she has returned here but she is still very emotional.
Ms. Ly Thi Trung shared: “This is the second time I have visited the place where Uncle Ho founded Thanh Nien newspaper, the place that trained comrades of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association. Every time I come, I am filled with emotions. Last time, the delegation only had 5 brothers from the Vietnam Journalists Association, this time I came with a large team of colleagues from all over the country."
It can be said that the visit is an opportunity for the team of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists today to pay tribute to their roots, deeply aware of the responsibility to preserve and promote the values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style in journalistic activities. The working trip also demonstrates the spirit and determination to continue the tradition of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism in the new era...
