Quang Nam province delegation visits Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane - Radio

On the afternoon of April 10, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province Nguyen Duc Dung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Ha visited and wished Bunpimay, officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane, Laos, a Happy New Year.

Overview of the visit

Receiving the delegation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Lao People's Democratic Republic Nguyen Minh Tam informed about many contents related to the economic and social development situation in Laos, the friendly and cooperative relationship between Quang Nam province and localities of Laos.

Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam suggested that Quang Nam try to implement connection programs to support border provinces ineducation and health, especially Sekong and Champasak provinces - two localities with traditional and close relations with Quang Nam. The Ambassador also highly appreciated Quang Nam's efforts in consolidating and developing relations with Lao localities, and pledged to continue to support and accompany the province in connecting and implementing practical and effective cooperation programs.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung thanked the Ambassador for updating information on the economic development situation of Laos in general, the strong changes and shifts of Sekong and Champasak provinces. Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung requested the Ambassador to continue supporting Quang Nam in implementing cooperation programs with localities in Southern Laos, especially Sekong, Champasak and Attapeu provinces to meet the requirements and situations in foreign affairs in border localities, and to remove long-standing obstacles in supporting works and projects that have not been able to continue to promote works and support projects. Through the Ambassador, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung suggested that the Government should have special mechanisms and policies to support, call for and attract more and more businesses and investors from Vietnam in particular and Quang Nam in general to invest and create breakthroughs in Laos's strong fields.
