On August 7, at S&H Vina Thach Thanh Co., Ltd., the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) organized a working program between the Korean Federation of Trade Unions (FTU), the Foreign Affairs Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor.

At the meeting, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Thanh Hoa Provincial Confederation of Labor, and S&H Vina Thach Thanh Company Limited expressed their pleasure in welcoming the delegation of the Korean Trade Union Federation to visit and work at Thanh Hoa Provincial Confederation of Labor.

Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Trinh Thi Hoa informed the delegation about the outstanding results in the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers, and trade union activities in Thanh Hoa province from 2023 to July 2024. Accordingly, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor is currently directly managing 35 grassroots trade unions, 3 affiliated grassroots trade unions with a total of 340,083 union members, operating at 3,764 grassroots trade unions; 11 grassroots trade unions. In Thanh Hoa, there are 12 Korean-invested companies with trade unions with a total of 23,729 workers and 22,850 union members.

In recent times, trade unions at all levels in Thanh Hoa have always promoted their role as legitimate and legal representative organizations for union members and workers, taking good care of the lives, rights and policies for workers. In addition, the trade union has always organized emulation movements well, done well in social security work; paid attention to improving the welfare and benefits of union members and workers. Directed units to well implement the grassroots democracy regulations and fully sign collective labor agreements. Thereby, helping units and enterprises to have stable production, workers have enough jobs, and increase income.

At the meeting, representatives of the Korean Trade Union Federation and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor expressed their joy and impression when visiting and working in Thanh Hoa, especially exchanging experiences related to grassroots trade union activities; learning about production activities and caring for workers' lives at S&H Vina Thach Thanh Co., Ltd. - a Korean-invested enterprise in Thanh Hoa province.

The two sides highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Korean Trade Union Federation in recent times. Through this visit and working session, it will contribute to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the trade unions of Vietnam and Korea in general, as well as Korean enterprises investing in Thanh Hoa in particular. Thereby, contributing to further tightening the cooperative relationship, making efforts to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises to better care for the material and spiritual life of workers.
