80 years ago, on December 22, 1944, in Tran Hung Dao forest (Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province), the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army - the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army was established.

After 80 years of building, fighting and growing up, under the absolute and direct leadership in all aspects of the Party; the education and training of President Ho Chi Minh; the love, care and support of the People; inheriting and promoting the patriotism and military art of the Vietnamese people, overcoming countless hardships, challenges and sacrifices, the Vietnam People's Army, together with the entire Party and people, has achieved great victories in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam and fulfilling its glorious international obligations, worthy of the praise of President Ho Chi Minh: "Our Army is loyal to the Party, filial to the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for Socialism. Every task is completed, every difficulty is overcome, every enemy is defeated".

Continuing the revolutionary career of Uncle Ho and previous generations, in 2024, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province have always been united, unanimous, and overcome all difficulties to achieve remarkable results in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security. In 2025, the whole province will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, compete in labor and production, and be determined to build Bac Kan province to develop more and more.

Next, the delegation offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Martyrs Cemetery of Bac Kan province and the Phu Thong Historical Site. In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation of provincial leaders offered incense, laid wreaths, and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who fell for our country's independence and freedom. Before the heroic martyrs, the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Kan province pledge to stand firm under the Party's leadership; unite, promote intelligence to successfully complete the tasks of socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security; and do a good job of repaying gratitude.

This is one of the meaningful activities held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024)./.
