Vlahovic's sad ending at Juventus

Dusan Vlahovic's future at Juventus is becoming increasingly uncertain as Juventus consider parting ways with the Serbian striker this summer.

According to Foot Mercato , although Vlahovic's contract expires in June 2026, Juventus' board of directors has no intention of extending it and is looking to recoup part of the large investment made to recruit him.

Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022 for a fee of up to €80 million, making him the fourth most expensive signing in the history of the mid-season transfer window. Expected to be the leader of the "Old Lady" attack for many years to come, but Vlahovic has never really met those huge expectations.

In his first half-season with Juventus, Vlahovic scored 9 goals. Then 14 goals in the 2022/23 season and 18 goals in the 2023/24 season, not bad numbers but not commensurate with the huge transfer fee and the expectations of the fans. In the current season (2024/25), he has scored 15 goals, but his form is still inconsistent and he has not had a big impact in key matches.
