Last weekend, the film crew attended the incense offering ceremony at the temple of King Dinh, King Le, and Lady Pham Thi Tran as soon as they arrived in Ninh Binh. The Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh and Thung Nham Eco-tourism Area supported the producer BHD to organize a solemn military departure ceremony for the film crew, following the legend of King Dinh holding a ceremony to reward his troops before going to battle to begin the field production phase of nearly 80 days.
The film crew will work in Ninh Binh from now until early February 2026 to take part in a journey back in history, recreating the heroic legend of the warriors protecting the tomb of Dinh Tien Hoang De in the 10th century.
“The Guardian Spirit - The Mystery of King Dinh's Tomb” is a historical film that begins with one of the heroic battles of the 12 warlords of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang and tells the story of the 7 Guardian Spirit Warriors in the last mission assigned by the Emperor, about the mystery of King Dinh's tomb from more than a thousand years ago, to affirm an independent Vietnam and every inch of Vietnamese land is sacred. The film also aims to promote the image of the beautiful and majestic mountains and rivers of Ninh Binh...

In addition to King Dinh and many other historical figures, in the film there is also a character who, although rarely appearing, has great spiritual value, that is Mrs. Pham Thi Tran. She is a rare female official in the time of King Dinh, who has the merit of creating a very heroic and powerful way of beating war drums, both for performance and in battle. The Dinh army at that time had many farmers, not used to discipline. Along with the training process, the war drums contributed to helping soldiers advance and retreat according to orders, gradually becoming more professional.
For the film crew who are artists and especially for People's Artist Tu Long, Director of the Army Cheo Theater and one of the main actors of the film, this incense offering ceremony is even more meaningful because she is the founder of Cheo, the founder of the Stage profession and one of the predecessors who enlightened the performing arts in Vietnam.
That's why before entering the production stage, the film crew went to Van Thi temple, the temple of Mrs. Pham Thi Tran, to offer incense.

On his personal page, artist Tu Long also posted a photo sharing his feelings about paying homage to the Patriarch of the Cheo industry for the first time. Right after leaving Van Thi temple, artist Tu Long was surrounded by many young fans.
In the sacred historical setting and majestic mountains and rivers of Ninh Binh, the film crew offered incense to pay respect to their ancestors. There is very little information about the Dinh Dynasty, but the film crew will not let the limitation of information prevent filmmakers and young audiences from opening the door of time, returning to a sacred and heroic historical period of Vietnam...
The film crew has begun its first working days in Ninh Binh and is expected to complete the film for release on August 28, 2026, following “Red Rain” with the desire to join hands in creating an annual historical film season on the occasion of the country's National Day, September 2.
