The high-ranking delegation of Gia Lai province visited and extended New Year greetings to the Command of Military Region IV, Royal Cambodian Army

(GLO)- On the afternoon of April 8, a delegation of high-ranking leaders of Gia Lai province led by member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Truong Van Dat visited and extended New Year greetings to the Command of Military Region IV (Royal Cambodian Army) in Siem Reap City on the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year.

Also participating in the working delegation were Mr. Siu Huong - Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Duong Mah Tiep - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of departments, branches, armed forces units and some localities of Gia Lai province.

Welcoming and working with the high-ranking delegation of Gia Lai province were General Pau Heng - Deputy Commander of the Army, Commander of Military Region IV, Royal Cambodian Army and key leaders of the Military Region.

Here, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Truong Van Dat respectfully expressed his gratitude for the warm and respectful welcome of General Pau Heng. At the same time, he wished General Pau Heng and all officers and soldiers of the Military Region IV Command and their families a traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year with good health, happiness and success. Wishing the relationship between the two countries in general and between Military Region IV and Gia Lai province to be forever green and sustainable.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council affirmed: The close relationship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia, the solidarity and friendship between Gia Lai province and the IV Military Region Command have always been preserved and promoted in the past time. The units and armed forces of the two sides have also closely coordinated, together maintaining and ensuring political security in the border area, preventing crimes on the border and coordinating well to prevent all kinds of epidemics.

In particular, the Party Committee and People of Gia Lai province are very moved and grateful for the enthusiastic support of the Government and people of the Northeastern provinces of Cambodia, the Military Region IV Command, the Military Region I Command (Royal Cambodian Army) for helping Team K52 (Gia Lai Provincial Military Command) search for, collect and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died on the Cambodian battlefield during the war to the motherland of Vietnam in recent years.

At the same time, Standing Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Council Truong Van Dat hopes that in the coming time, General Pau Heng and the leaders of Military Region IV Command will continue to closely coordinate and provide timely information to ensure political security in the border area; pay attention to, help and create conditions for Team K52 (Gia Lai Provincial Military Command) in searching, gathering and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war.

Expressing his joy and appreciation for the good feelings of the delegation of high-ranking officials of Gia Lai province, General Pau Heng-khang affirmed: The Command of Military Region IV and Gia Lai province have had a relationship of solidarity, affection and loyalty over many years and continue to be nurtured, preserved and developed to new heights.

The Cambodian Army and People in general, and the IV Military Region Command in particular, always cherish and express gratitude to the Vietnamese People who in the past did not hesitate to sacrifice their blood and bones to help Cambodia escape the Pol Pot genocide regime. Therefore, although the search and collection of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in recent years have encountered many difficulties, we are still determined to coordinate and provide maximum support to Team K52 to better perform its tasks in the coming time.

On this occasion, the leaders of Gia Lai province and the IV Military Region Command presented each other meaningful gifts expressing their precious feelings as an affirmation of constantly nurturing and building a strong, close relationship that will continue to develop in the new period.
