The eight gold medals won by the Vietnamese sports delegation today came from Rowing, Kickboxing, Athletics, and Esports. Notably, Athletics was a highlight, contributing four gold medals on the final day of competition in this sport.

The first gold medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation came from Rowing, with the quartet of Le Thi Hien, Du Thi Bong, Ha Thi Vui, and Pham Thi Ngoc Anh performing excellently and winning the championship in the women's heavyweight quadruple sculls event. The Vietnamese rowers finished with a time of 7 minutes 58 seconds 19, far ahead of the host country Thailand, who finished with a time of 8 minutes 03 seconds 51, thus affirming their strength and impressive form.


Following the success in Rowing, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation continued to win two more gold medals in Kickboxing. Hoang Thi Thuy Giang performed excellently to win the gold medal in the women's 50kg Point Fighting event, while Nguyen Quang Huy showed impressive form, defeating the host country's fighter from Thailand to claim the championship in the men's 57kg Full Contact event.

On the track, the Vietnamese Athletics Team also continuously brought home proud achievements. "Queen of Athletics" Nguyen Thi Oanh excellently finished first in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10 minutes 13 seconds 74, completing a "hat-trick" of gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games, and simultaneously raising her total number of gold medals at the SEA Games to 15.



In the women's high jump final, Bui Thi Kim Anh caused a surprise by winning the gold medal with a jump of 1.86m. Also exceeding initial expectations, Tran Thi Loan performed brilliantly to win the women's long jump, achieving a distance of 6.53m.
Meanwhile, in the women's 4x400m relay final, the quartet of Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Nguyen Thi Hang, Le Thi Tuyet Mai, and Nguyen Thi Ngoc finished first with a time of 3 minutes 32 seconds 59, concluding a brilliant day of competition for the Vietnamese Athletics Team.

The final gold medal of the day came from esports, as the Vietnamese women's Arena of Valor team won convincingly 4-0 against the Laotian team.
Concluding the 7th day of competition, the Vietnamese sports delegation has won 48 gold medals, 55 silver medals, and 79 bronze medals. As of 10 PM on December 16th, the Vietnamese sports delegation has a total of 182 medals, ranking third on the SEA Games 33 medal table.
