Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited presented a symbol of support for 5 houses to poor households in Nghi Son town.

In Nghi Son town, as of May 8, the town has mobilized more than 10.3 billion VND, reaching over 66% of the plan and has transferred 5 billion VND to the province. In the second phase, the town People's Committee approved support for the construction and repair of 131 houses (including 47 newly built houses and 84 repaired houses). To date, 25 houses have been started; the remaining houses are expected to start construction before May 15, 2025 and be completed before June 30, 2025. This success has been greatly contributed by local businesses - units that have proactively participated in many forms of practical support.

Typically, in April, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited (NSRP) donated 5 houses to poor households in Nghi Son town. These are 5 out of 10 houses that NSRP supports to build in 2025 with a total value of 800 million VND. Of which, 5 houses were donated to poor households in Nghi Son town and the remaining 5 houses will be reserved for disadvantaged households in Quan Son district. Mr. Hiroaki Honjo, Head of Administration, Society & Community and Public Relations of NSRP, emphasized: “We always consider social responsibility as a core part of NSRP’s sustainable development strategy. In addition to production and business activities, the company constantly implements community support programs to improve the quality of life of local people. We hope that these houses will be a solid foundation for households to settle down, thereby feeling secure in working and moving towards a better future.”

With a sense of responsibility for the community, Long Son Cement Company (Bim Son town) is one of the leading enterprises, contributing significantly to supporting poor households, policy families and people with housing difficulties. In the first phase, the company donated 10 billion VND, bringing hundreds of solid homes to many families. Promoting that spirit, in the second phase, Long Son Cement continued to contribute an additional 5 billion VND to join hands to build a better life for the people. The cooperation of Long Son Cement Company not only demonstrates social responsibility but also spreads the spirit of solidarity and humanity in the community, helping less fortunate families stabilize their lives and build the future. With its continuous efforts, the enterprise was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for its many achievements in the first phase of the Campaign.

Not outside the flow of charity, many associations and businesses inside and outside the province have joined hands to contribute material and human resources, and mobilize the community to participate. The new, solid and warm houses not only help people feel secure before the storm season, but also kindle hope for a better life, adding motivation to start a business in their homeland. Mr. Nguyen Duy No, Director of Hoang Tuan Company Limited, shared: “As a veteran and businessman, I always wonder what to do to repay the martyrs and wounded soldiers. Every year, I spend 400-500 million VND to build houses of gratitude, to take care of the heroic Vietnamese Mothers, considering it the responsibility and sacred affection of a businessman towards the community".

According to the report of the Steering Committee of the Campaign, as of April 20, 2025, the whole province has started construction and repair of 7,686 houses, of which 6,280 houses were newly built and 1,398 houses were repaired; 5,876 houses have been completed and funded. The beneficiaries include households with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households, social protection beneficiaries, ethnic minority households, the elderly, single people and other households with housing difficulties. The cooperation of enterprises has made an important contribution to achieving these positive results, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and attachment to the community, contributing to building a humane and sustainable society.

Currently, Thanh Hoa province has more than 21,000 operating enterprises. Not only focusing on developing production and increasing income for workers, Thanh Hoa business community has been actively participating in many social security programs. The whole province still has 9,450 houses in need of support (including 5,473 newly built houses and 3,977 repaired houses), with a total estimated mobilized budget of about 124 billion VND. To complete the goal of completely eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before October 31, 2025, it is necessary to have stronger and more persistent cooperation from the business community - entrepreneurs, who not only create economic value but also spread humanistic values in society.
