This year's Van Con Festival takes place from February 10 to February 15 of the lunar calendar. This is one of the biggest traditional festivals of the people in Van Con commune to honor and commemorate the merits of the Holy Mother, namely Lady La Nuong De, and the ancestors who built and defended the country.
To liven up the atmosphere before the Saint's procession, many art performances were performed such as dragon dance and flower-spreading dance by young men and women in the village.

Van Con Festival is famous for its most beautiful and unique palanquin procession in the country. The Saint Procession begins at 3pm on the 12th day of the 2nd lunar month. More than 300 people will carry the palanquin from Van Con communal house to Quan Thuong, Quan Trung, and Quan Song temples. The courtyard of Van Con communal house is packed with people watching the 'unique' rotating palanquin procession.
After the Organizing Committee finished reading the festival regulations, the young men in the village began carrying the palanquin around the village. Because it was the first big festival in 9 years, this year the number of palanquins was 9. The palanquin procession consisted of more than 300 people and was selected from unmarried young men and women in the village, aged 18 and above.
The people of Van Con village responded enthusiastically. The young men in the village gracefully and flexibly carried the saint in 9 rotating palanquins. The organizers said that in terms of spiritual significance, the Saint Procession Ceremony is a custom of the people of Van Con village. Those who participate in the festival feel somewhat relaxed and energized to work.
