Khuoi Ky is a very special village in the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area. This is a place that still preserves the unique features of Tay ethnic architecture and culture, becoming one of the attractive destinations for tourists in Cao Bang .
Located about 80km from Cao Bang City, the ancient village of Khuoi Ky nestles on a cliff, with a gentle stream flowing around the village. The village consists of 14 Tay ethnic households living in stone stilt houses spread over about 1 hectare. Visitors can easily travel by motorbike or car, following Provincial Road 206 to reach this unique stone village. Legend has it that this small village was built in the 16th century. However, until now, the ancient stilt houses still retain their pristine beauty, bearing the ancient appearance of the Mac Dynasty, creating an ancient beauty, tinged with legend. Coming to the ancient stone village of Khuoi Ky, in addition to discovering the unique beauty of the stone village, visitors can also enjoy Then melodies, Tinh sounds or discover traditional dishes of the local Tay people... promising to bring wonderful experiences to visitors. The Khuoi Ky stilt houses were built during the Mac Dynasty in the years 1594-1677 like "fortresses" to protect the border and still retain their original architectural features.
