Premier League team fires second coach in just 39 days

The decision to sack Postecoglou was confirmed just 18 minutes after the final whistle of the 0-3 loss to Chelsea in round 8 of the Premier League. Coach Postecoglou and his team were helpless throughout the entire match, and even when Chelsea had a player sent off, they could not create pressure to score at least 1 honorary goal to save the team's reputation. This defeat put an end to Postecoglou's short 39-day reign.

It can be said that Nottingham is the team that has been in the worst shape in the Premier League this season. Their miserable days began after the 0-3 defeat to West Ham on August 31. That defeat forced Nottingham to fire its first coach: Espirito Santo.

Nuno Santo's replacement was Postecoglou.
