Tottenham's victory over Manchester United in Bilbao means they have become the third Premier League team to secure a place in the 2025/26 Champions League. Previously, only Liverpool and Arsenal had secured their place in Europe's most prestigious cup competition.

The encounter at City Ground on May 25 is considered the "final" that will decide the fate of Nottingham and Chelsea.
The last time the Premier League had five representatives in the Champions League was in the 2017/18 season, including MU, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham. This result stemmed from MU winning the Europa League the previous season.
In total, the Premier League has nine teams in European competition next season, including six Champions League clubs and two Europa League clubs (Crystal Palace and the sixth-placed team). Since Newcastle won the League Cup but are in the top four, the seventh-placed team will be in the Conference League.
