Hai Duong Provincial People's Council passed a resolution to rename 8 residential areas in Hai Duong City due to Pham Ngu Lao ward merging into Le Thanh Nghi ward.

On the morning of December 11, the People's Council of Hai Duong province passed a resolution to rename 8 residential areas in Le Thanh Nghi ward (Hai Duong city).

Specifically, 8 residential areas (from 1-8) of the old Pham Ngu Lao ward were renamed as follows: Residential area No. 8 became residential area No. 12, residential area No. 7 became residential area No. 13, residential area No. 6 became residential area No. 14, residential area No. 5 became residential area No. 15, residential area No. 4 became residential area No. 16, residential area No. 3 became residential area No. 17, residential area No. 2 became residential area No. 18, residential area No. 1 became residential area No. 19.

Implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the period of 2023-2025, the entire natural area and population of Pham Ngu Lao ward will be merged into Le Thanh Nghi ward.

Before the merger, Le Thanh Nghi ward had 8 residential areas named from 1-8. Therefore, residential areas from 1-8 of the old Pham Ngu Lao ward need to be renamed according to regulations to avoid duplication.

The above plan has also been consulted with voters and submitted to the People's Council of the old Pham Ngu Lao ward for approval. The results achieved over 90% of voters and delegates agreeing.
