State and people work together

Supporting the economic development of the people of Mon Son and Luc Da are humane policies, especially national target programs that support people in all aspects of life. These include many programs and projects on infrastructure construction, support for trees and seeds, building houses for poor households, repairing houses for near-poor households, etc. Such support is a lever to help people escape poverty, work with peace of mind, and build a prosperous life.

In Bac Son village, standing in front of her house, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhuan said that the gate and wall of her house used to be located in the center of the road, 2m away from the old location.

“Not only my house, but also the houses, gates, walls, and land of all the households on both sides of this road are like that. Bac Son village has 76 households that have agreed to donate their land and property to build this road. Many households have donated 300 - 400m2 ; Mr. Ha Thuong Hoi’s household alone has donated more than 1,000m2 including walls, gates, and forestry land…” - Ms. Nhuan said.

In 1931, the revolutionary movement entered a period of decline, and our Party had to retreat into secret activities. To ensure forces and maintain the revolutionary base, the Central Region Party Committee sent comrades Le Xuan Dao (belonging to the Regional Party Committee), Nguyen Huu Binh ( Nghe An Provincial Party Committee), and Le Manh Duyet (Anh Son District Party Committee) to the Muong Qua - Mon Son area to coordinate activities and build the revolutionary movement. Here, the comrades contacted and enlightened comrade Vi Van Khang, a young Thai ethnic man with education and a well-off family in Thai Hoa village.

In March 1931, in Muong Qua (including today's two communes of Mon Son and Luc Da), a struggle against the tyrants and bullies took place and was victorious.

About a month later, at the private home of comrade Vi Van Khang, the Mon Son Party Cell was officially established, consisting of 5 party members: Vi Van Khang (Secretary), Vi Van Hanh, Vi Van Quy, Tran Ngan, Le Manh Duyet, and later admitted comrade Vi Van Lam. This was the first Party cell established in the mountainous area of Nghe An.
