Farmers of Hoa Binh city asked questions at the conference.
Food safety issues not only directly affect public health, but also have a key significance for the sustainable development of the agricultural sector. In recent times, Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province have actively promoted and promoted safe agricultural production. However, in reality, there are still many difficulties and problems from policy to implementation.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing legal regulations related to food safety in the fields of production, trading, preservation, processing and consumption of agricultural products; reflecting on shortcomings such as the abuse of chemicals, pesticides, and banned substances in agricultural production; and limitations in management, supervision, and handling of violations. Many opinions suggested the need for more synchronous solutions to support farmers in raising awareness, applying safe production processes, and accessing modern consumer markets.
The conference also provided time for experts to disseminate knowledge about safe production processes, technical standards and solutions to access demanding markets. Many practical models and support directions were shared such as: enhancing technical training, building collective economic models, connecting agricultural product consumption through e-commerce platforms.
At the end of the conference, the Provincial Farmers' Association pledged to fully absorb opinions, continue to advise the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to have solutions for close direction, and at the same time strengthen coordination with relevant departments and branches to remove difficulties for members and farmers in producing and consuming safe agricultural products. Thereby contributing to improving the quality of agricultural products, protecting consumers' health and building a modern and sustainable agriculture.
